The origins

Sigma Octantis has been founded by Andrea Vanara after two decades of practice in corporate treasury and corporate banking, operating with regional responsibility in EMEA and APAC markets and from London and Singapore. 

Sigma Octantis combines a rock solid corporate treasury knowledge with corporate banking expertise to offer a unique advisory service meant to accelerate treasury/finance transformations and to make the most out of banking negotiations.

When in corporate treasury Andrea led several finance/treasury projects for the Fiat Chrysler Automobile Group (now Stellantis Group) and was involved in major deals, such as debt capital market and debt restructuring, demerger, acquisitions, global cash management, liquidity management and risk management infrastructure. 

While in banking Andrea advised and led more than hundred projects helping SMEs and MNCs to enhance, evolve or just build up their corporate treasury functions. Among such projects several ones focused on setting up digital treasury aiming at best in class structures.

In his last stint in banking Andrea operated as relationship manager covering a portfolio of 20+ MNCs some of which needing to restructure their treasury organizations.

Such dual experience, in corporate treasury and corporate banking, allows Sigma Octantis to offer swift and effective advisory services to lead corporate treasury/finance projects and banking negotiations.

In Singapore Andrea taught Treasury at university and he is now lead advisor for the formation of personnel in some banking institutions to keep banking professionals up-to-date with latest innovations in the treasury space.
